Légende pour la Farine Orpheline

Happening on the site of former Dufresne & Locke shoe factory
Montreal, Canada
2000

Once upon a time, there was a wandering tribe preoccupied by holes and by the meaning of things…

At the time of the third millennium, this group of pariahs migrated toward a vacant lot in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve where they settled. By this clandestine occupation and its excavation, this territory revealed many treasures and traces of passing objects. In the dead center of the local, some non-harmful circles draw your attention, walk around them with devotion. These are the circles of a time that oscillates between the Big Bang and the cosmos of a better somewhere else.

Welcome to your exile! You begin to wander and start becoming a tribal nomad…

The Big Bang Badang has sucked you up, bombarded you with particles and propelled you into a hole that traverses time. Now, go forth and explore. Dig, have random encounters, let yourself be contaminated by the hole. That way you will discover its treasures. Tenderly manipulate them. Meet the living memory and the tribal rhythm. Let yourself be snapped up by the machine to travel in the present. There are storytelling and musical performances at diverse moments during the evening. You will be called back, so remain vigilant. Let yourself be rocked by the dream of wandering, who knows what will happen? Maybe you will be marked like never before by the stratifications of a bit of liberty..
